FUEL TRADE ADVISORY · ZIMBABWE

Diesel, petrol & oil trade.
Connected from Harare.

Bonitas Global connects defined fuel requirements with international sourcing discussions. Our Zimbabwe-based team works with buyers, suppliers and authorised intermediaries on product specifications, delivery bases and documented commercial introductions.

Diesel sourcing & trade

Discuss bulk diesel requirements, including EN590 10 ppm or separately specified 50 ppm diesel. State the volume, complete quality standard, destination and FOB, CFR, CIF or ex-tank delivery basis so potential counterparties can assess the requirement.

Discuss diesel sourcing ↗

Petrol / gasoline inquiries

BENCHMARKS & COMMERCIAL STRUCTURE

Index-led pricing.
Defined differentials.

Diesel pricing proposals reference a specified Platts assessment, including a MOPAG basis where appropriate to the product and origin. Every proposal identifies the assessment, grade, unit and pricing window.

AGREED PLATTS / MOPAG BENCHMARK±PRODUCT & ORIGIN DIFFERENTIAL+APPLICABLE DELIVERY COSTS

FOB

Named load port; benchmark and product differential adjusted to the agreed loading basis. Buyer’s onward freight and insurance are separately allocated.

CFR / CIF

Named destination port; add the agreed freight and logistics differential. CIF includes the contractually required insurance component.

Ex-tank

Named terminal; specify storage, handling, release, duties and taxes as applicable. Avoid adding freight or terminal costs already embedded in the reference basis.

Specification discipline: EN590 10 ppm diesel and 50 ppm diesel inquiries must identify the complete applicable product standard and inspection method. A 50 ppm sulphur limit alone does not establish EN590 conformity.

MOPAG means Mean of Platts Arab Gulf. The exact Platts product assessment and averaging period must be stated in the offer. This page provides a pricing framework, not live licensed market data, an executable price or a guaranteed discount. Differentials, quantity, currency, delivery basis and validity are set out in the written proposal.

TRANSACTION SOP

Seven stages.
One documented framework.

Clear authority, verified counterparties and contract-led execution.

Read the full operating procedure ↗
  1. 01

    Initial Brief & KYC

A principal or duly mandated intermediary submits a formal inquiry, corporate registration details and a Client Information Sheet (CIS), together with intended destination, origin and route restrictions. Corporate identity, beneficial ownership and authority are reviewed before progression.

  2. 02

    NCNDA / IMFPA Execution

The relevant parties execute a mutual Non-Circumvention, Non-Disclosure Agreement (NCNDA) and an Irrevocable Master Fee Protection Agreement (IMFPA), or equivalent agreed protections, before principal supplier allocations or buyer coordinates are disclosed. Scope, signatories and fee obligations must be explicit.

  3. 03

    Official ICPO

The buyer issues an Irrevocable Corporate Purchase Order (ICPO), accompanied by a Bank Confirmation Letter (BCL) or Proof of Funds (POF) appropriate to the proposed transaction. Documents and issuing authority are independently verifiable; a BCL or POF is not a payment guarantee.

  4. 04

    Contract & Lodgment

Buyer and seller execute the bilateral Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPA), electronically where accepted, and lodge or transmit the agreed documents through bank-to-bank communication or verified corporate channels within the agreed operating windows.

  5. 05

    Financial Instrument Issuance

The buyer arranges the operable, irrevocable instrument required by the seller and SPA: for example, an SBLC transmitted by SWIFT MT760, or a spot or revolving documentary credit transmitted by MT700, from an internationally recognised bank acceptable to the parties. Alternative mechanisms, including TT after discharge inspection, require express agreement.

  6. 06

    Cargo Loading & Inspection

Where required by the SPA, the seller issues a Performance Bond, commonly 2% when stipulated, and loads within the approved laycan. SGS, Inspectorate or an equivalent independent inspector verifies quantity and quality at load port. Contractually required Proof of Product (POP) and shipping documents are transmitted through verified channels.

  7. 07

    Discharge & Title Transfer

Destination quantity and quality are independently checked. Where the SPA provides for post-discharge settlement, final TT payment is reconciled to verified outturn. Title release and intermediary commissions follow the agreed contractual triggers and timing; immediate release applies only where expressly agreed.

This is Bonitas Global’s proposed seven-stage intermediary engagement framework, not a universal refinery procedure or a commitment by a bank, inspector, seller or buyer. The signed SPA and applicable law govern sequencing, payment, risk, title, inspection and remedies. Written, transaction-specific variations may be agreed.

COMPLIANCE & GOVERNANCE

Counterparty review before commitment.

Engagement is subject to risk-based sanctions screening, including relevant OFAC and EU restrictions, AML/KYC review, beneficial ownership verification, and confirmation of mandate and source of funds. No prohibited origin, party, vessel, bank or route is acceptable.

Buyer and seller inspection and independent cargo reassessment rights must be preserved in the SPA. Inspection reports, POP documents and intermediary agreements do not replace verification or constitute guaranteed supply.

07 / USEFUL TO KNOW

Before you
get in touch.

Can suppliers and intermediaries contact Bonitas directly?

Yes. Use the supplier or intermediary option in the inquiry form, or email Fidelis, Bernard or Melody directly. Explain your company, your role and the opportunity you wish to discuss.

Which regions and markets are the focus?

Fuel sourcing focuses on the Middle East, Caspian Sea, Black Sea, Europe and Africa. The main markets are Africa, Europe and China. The suitability of any origin or route is considered for the specific proposed transaction.

How are price, payment and delivery terms set?

These are discussed for each opportunity. Include your preferred delivery basis, volume, specification and timing. A website inquiry does not confirm a price, allocation, credit facility or supply commitment.

What should I send in a first inquiry?

Send a concise commercial brief and your business contact details. You do not need to attach passports, bank statements or other sensitive records to an initial inquiry. Confirm any later documentation requests directly with the relevant Bonitas contact.

Where does my website inquiry go?

When you select “Send inquiry”, your entry is submitted directly to fidelis@globalbonitas.com through Bonitas Global’s own HTTPS endpoint and authenticated SMTP service. You do not need to open an email app. Keep the submission reference shown after a successful submission. You can also contact Fidelis, Bernard or Melody using the email links above.
